As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Everyone longs for community! And that’s a good thing.

God himself said at the very beginning when he created Adam that it was not good for man to be alone. In fact, it is the only thing in the creation narrative, on which God doesn’t give his stamp of approval. So God creates Eve, so that man can have companionship. Why? Because community is good. This is further attested to, by the fact that God himself, who is perfect and good, exists eternally in community as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. So, like Him, we are meant to live in community!

You see it is only through community that we are able to experience so many of the fundamental truths of the gospel. Without family and friends we wouldn’t know what love is. Without community we couldn’t experience forgiveness. Without close relationships there would be no compassion, empathy, repentance, reconciliation, or even a sense of mission. All of those things not only require community, they are deepened by it.

To be clear, Gospel Communities are not Bible studies. Their main directive is not to provide instruction. Rather they are groups designed for the purpose of gaining deeper community, with God and with fellow believers. Discipleship is about more than knowledge, and far too often the more relational, and practical side of discipleship goes overlooked. Gospel Communities focus on relationships, prayer, and accountability. So, if you are wanting to enter into Christian community; where you can be real with your struggles, receive prayer, encouragement, and accountability, be equipped to apply biblical truths to your everyday life, and help others to receive the same, then fill out the form below to get connected to one of our groups.
